Wednesday, April 10th: National Siblings Day

Celebrate National Siblings Day with an informative webinar hosted by The Office of Clients' Rights Advocacy. This webinar will include a panel discussion with regional center clients and their brothers and/or sisters. Panelists will share the impact of disability on their lives and how they maintain a strong sibling relationship.

This free event is for people who receive regional center services, their families, and their circle of support. It is also open to anyone interested in learning about sibling relationships in the intellectual and developmental disabilities community.

This event will also be offered in Spanish.

Saturday, April 13th: Community Resource & Health Fair

I am hosting a Community Resource and Health Fair in partnership with Santa Ana Mayor Pro Tem Thai Viet Phan and Orange County Social Services Agency. The public will be able to review, renew, or apply for CalFresh and Medi-Cal benefits. Applicants approved for CalFresh benefits may receive their Electronic Benefit Transfer cards on-site the same day. Additionally, there will be free health screenings, free food distribution while supplies last, and lots of fun activities for the whole family!

Saturday, April 27th: Naloxone Distribution Event and Community Resource Fair

I invite you to join the Naloxone Distribution Event at Santa Ana College in collaboration with CalOptima Health and our community partners. Families can enroll in Medi-Cal and CalFresh, get Medi-Cal renewal assistance, and enjoy fun family activities.

Saturday, May 11th: Gun Buy Back Event

Our office will host a gun buyback event on May 11th in partnership with Orange County's Fourth District Supervisor, Doug Chaffee, and the City of Anaheim. This event will allow people to anonymously and safely dispose of firearms in exchange for gift cards. Join us in making our communities safer by getting unwanted guns off the street.
